Background and Credentials

Dr. Wuyang Li started his journey in dentistry in China, where he received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree. He then moved to the United States and devoted himself in dental related studies. He earned his Master’s (M.S.) degree in Oral Biology and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Oral & Craniofacial Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. His research mainly focused on Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) tissue engineering and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD), resulting in multiple publications and a number of presentations at local and international conferences.

In addition to his research accomplishments, Dr. Li has been involved in extensive clinical work. After earning his Ph.D. degree, Dr. Li received two extra years of dental training in the advanced standing program at the University of Pittsburgh and got his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. He provides a wide range of dental services, including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatments, extractions and bone grafts, dental implants, deep cleaning, pediatric dentistry, digital dentistry, and dental emergencies. Dr. Li has also attained his nitrous oxide certificate and is able to provide dental services under nitrous sedation.

Dr. Li lives with his wife and son in the South Hills area. During their leisure time, Dr. Li and his family enjoy gathering with friends and doing sports, including badminton, table tennis, skiing, and tennis.

Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, Dr. Li is dedicated to serving a diverse patient community. With years of training, he deeply appreciates the reward of providing comprehensive dental services of the highest quality to patients of all ages.
